Restaurant
The lodge restaurant is open daily year round and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving the best regional fare, where "the dining rivals the view." A well-rounded menu is available and buffets are offered during peak seasons and holiday weekends.
The restaurant can cater banquets, receptions and barbecues for special groups such as business meetings, family reunions and weddings.
Gift Shops
Two gift shops are located on Blackwater Falls State Park. Both gift shops offer a variety of souvenirs, T-shirts, toys, jewelry, West Virginia Glass and other items. The gift shop located at Blackwater Falls Lodge near the front desk is open daily, year round. The Trading Post is located at the Falls parking area.
Indoor Pool
The indoor pool area at Blackwater Lodge is a great place to relax for a swim, unwind in the hot tub or work out in the fitness room, equipped with treadmills, bikes and additional exercise equipment. Open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, this is a great way to unwind at Blackwater Falls State Park. The indoor pool area is for registered lodge & cabin guests.
Picnic Shelters
Shelters are ideal to rent for reunions, family outings, catered functions, parties, and cookouts. Shelters are available for reservation during the summer season. Reservations are recommended for summer weekends and holidays. Call ahead, reservations are first-come, first -served.

Canaan Valley
Canaan Valley Resort State Park is less than twenty minutes from Blackwater Falls. Featuring downhill skiing, snowboarding in our winter season, Blackwater Falls guests have a short drive to some of the best skiing you’ll find in the United States.
Canaan also sports one of West Virginia’s best 18-hole golf courses.
The Canaan Valley area is known for its diverse flora and fauna. The climate and topography is this area creates an ecosystem that supports species not normally found. The proximity of Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley to Dolly Sods, Mt. Storm, and other scenic attractions compliment both state parks. Guests will confirm, at trip to Blackwater Falls and the Canaan Valley area is wonderful.
